Shephda
Hello, I have received a few computer items, one item is a TI Model PHP1500 Solid State Speech Synthesizer. It looks to be not used, came with the small manual, and the box has a TI label on it. Anyone know an approxamate value for this? Thanks
JamesD
I think I spent $10 for mine but if the box is unsealed you might get as much as $20... but then I bought mine a couple years ago and haven't been looking for one recently.
RickR
I'd be interested in purchasing if you decide to sell. PM me. I have a TI and a few voice games, but no speech module. Thanks

I meant sealed, not unsealed.
matthew180
I will send a 99/4A speech synth to anyone who wants one, for the cost of shipping. I have a few new in the box units if that's important to you.
RickR
Does anyone have a TI composite video/audio cable they'd be willing to part with?
oracle_jedi
The NTSC TI99/4A uses the same 5 pin composite cable as the Atari

RickR
The NTSC TI99/4A uses the same 5 pin composite cable as the Atari Don't think so. The connector is the same, but it uses different pin-out.
oracle_jedi
Don't think so. The connector is the same, but it uses different pin-out. TI-99/4A monitor jack: http://www.mainbyte.com/ti99/hardware/cables/monitor.html Atari 800/XL/XE monitor jack: http://www.hardwarebook.info/Atari_8-bit_Monitor Note that the TI diagram is looking into the DIN plug, and the Atari one looking at the female monitor jack from the outside. The pins therefore are numbered in the same fashion. Proof is in the pudding though, and my Atari 800, 1200XL, VIC-20 and TI-99/4A all share the same 5-pin DIN monitor cable to the front mounted A/V jacks on my Commodore 1702

RickR
Well, you are absolutely correct. I just tried my Atari cable and it does work fine. I guess that'll make it easier to find an extra on ebay! Edited July 23, 2012 by RickR

matthew180
I am not sure. A few of the ones I had turned out to have corroded and failed ROMs inside. I am currently in the process of moving, so I don't know how many I have that work, or exactly where they are. Send me a PM as a reminder and I'll try to dig one out.
