FULS
Steve Tucker has already made an image for the 8Mb Atarimax Flash that contains the following as individual cartridges, it doesn't simulate stacked cartridges. SDX 4.45 (the 1mbit build, modified) Express! Diamond GOS MAC/65 Basic XL Basic XE Action! Instant MyDOS Instant SmartDOS Disk Wizard II Copy 2000 My Copier 2.1 Instant Translator Here is the link to that Cart Image. http://www.atarimax.....php?f=3&t=1221 Here is the image by Steve. Dropcheck
Hmm, very interest! Already have a prototype made. Just trying to find a plastic cart enclosure to house it. Right now it should fit the Atari original brown carts, but external 4 way switch has always been a pain to implement. Further enhancement could include mostly SMT parts and a redesigned pcb to fit different cart dimensions. santosp
The enclosure isn't problem if I redesign the pcb to meet dimensions of mine enclosure. I mean this one of SXEGS ramcart. +Larry
A small point -- the flash image for Basic XE doesn't quite work properly. If you boot the BXE extension disk (which has many useful features), you lock up with a screen of garbage. IIRC, I was told some years ago that it was because of the different bank-switching addresses in the flash cart versus a real eprom cart, not matching the addresses in the extension file. I got a suggested fix, but unfortunately, the fix did not work. Perhaps someone else might take a look at this? Occasionally these flash conversions don't quite work correctly. However with "original" type carts and eproms, they work 100%. BTW, someone used to sell blank work-a-like "Super Carts" of the original "orange" type. These were sold in Atari "brown" shells. AFAIK, no one ever sold the "black" (single rom/eprom) blank cartridges, although there was at least one internal work-a-like (blank) board sold. Below is a photo of the original Super Cart work-a-like pcb in a brown Atari shell. -Larry Here is the link to that Cart Image. http://www.atarimax.....php?f=3&t=1221 Here is the image by Steve.
