WTB: Star Blade PSOne but "Japanese version"?

Hi there, I am looking for Star Blade for the PlayStation One.

 

My local retro store says it is pretty rare and usually pricey so I looked on eBay to see how much it is there. This auction lists the "Japan Version" for $35.99 but what I am trying to figure out is, do I want the "Japan Version"? I'm not clear if that means the game will have Japanese text and dialogue or if it means this game was only available from Japan, therefore it is rare and high price.

 

And I guess my last concern is, will this version run in my PS3? I know "normal" Star Blade runs in a PS3 because I've seen reviews say so, I'm just not sure if the "Japan Version" will work in my North American PS3.

 

Anyone got any advice?
