pjbramley
Does anyone know where it is possible to purchase a Hobgoblin cartridge by GR 8 software?
Magic Knight
Ive only ever seen this lately on Ebay and on a few occasions in the last 6 months. But dont expect to get a bargain > http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2FATARI-Hobgoblin-Cartridge-Boxed-800-800XL-130XE-65XE-XL-XE-XEGS-8-bit-%2F170984697631%3Fpt%3DVideo_Games_Games%26hash%3Ditem27cf7b6f1f I wouldnt mind a Bomb jake package with box, pictures and cape! however im not paying a couple of hundred bucks. I wish GR8 would put batches out now and then - as im sure they would get snapped up making this worthwhile.

Magic Knight
Someone is selling one for $200? On EBay - Back In 2013 when I made the original post...
Tezz
On EBay - Back In 2013 when I made the original post... wow, I guess that one was bought by someone originally just to sell it on as a limited edition. There will always be people out there trying to profit. It's sad as the intention is to make games for everyones enjoyment. The sale price literally covered the cost of producing the cart and packaging. I requested that anything over that cost was donated to charity on my part. Nosty is a GR8 guy btw I can confirm that I've never worn my cape

+therealbountybob
We've just played Hobgoblin in the HSC - not many posts but I did get a reply from the original programmer [has hints and pictures of the 60 game screens]
russg
Still been looking for this cartridge. Does anyone have any clues where I could purchase a copy? GR8 has a Polish website. http://gr8.atari.pl/joomla/index.php or maybe just try http://gr8.atari.pl I tried to find a way to purchase a hobgoblin cartridge, but it doesn't seem to work for me. They have a menu item 'how to buy', but I couldn't get it to work. I couldn't even get the 'contact us' or 'about us' to work. I guess you know you can download it, which I did, I forget from where, you have to make the hobgoblin.xex a autorun.sys on a MyDOS, or maybe DOS 2.5 atr or real thing. disable BASIC, hold OPTION. I can't play those kind of games. Looks really fantastic game tho. You can make the site translate into English. +CharlieChaplin
Well, the game is hard as hell - just take a look at the walkthrough at youtube. The original cart is sold out and sells at high prices nowadays. It would be much cheaper for you, to download the XEX version and save it on disk/ATR. Alternatively you could flash the XEX version onto an Atarimax-cart, SIC-cart, The!-Cart, SIDE, My-IDE, etc.

The first archer guy 9th screen? is overly hard too soon but once you master the jump fire repeat it's the same for the whole game. Two of us completed the game and McKong even beat it without losing a life!
McKong
A really nice game. I also thought it was too hard when I first played it but after some practice it is beatable
