Stan
Damn Voc, I wanted that third place! Kind of glad I didn't get it, though, because of the gold medal bracket. I prefer the game I'm playing, I would have been finished otherwise.

Gorfy
Gratz Gorfy, well done! Thanks, Northcoastgamer!. Congrats to you on making the top ten despite having started late in the season. It must be the Lake Erie water! (or possibly the Great Lakes beer).
Stan
My only suggestion is to avoid homebrews or find some way of making that a special event or something. Some of the homebrews out there can't be found anymore and I wouldn't be able to play them on my hardware. I know, yes, I can emulate, but without a nice USB joystick I'd be at a huge disadvantage, as most hardware players would. I think just the regular games are fine, but that's up to you guys. If you do homebrews, I guess for that round I'll emulate.
Scrabbler15
Gorfy, you da man! Congratulations on a great effort this season.  .
karokoenig
Suggestion for a paddle game: see my avatar. GI Joe Cobra Strike. The game is underappreciated, because it takes some effort to get the hang of it. That's why it usually received mediocre reviews in the past. So why not force a couple of good players to actually dedicate some time to it via the HSC? Single player mode is quite hard.

ReflectionAngle
I'd like to add my congratulations to Gorfy, my thanks to Vocelli, and my appreciation to everyone who participated. While I believe we all would all enjoy playing these games alone, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be half as much fun as competing in the NEW HSC. I discovered a lot of great games this season, and I'm looking forward to the knockout rounds and season two!

Algus
This sounds pretty exciting compared to some of the previous HSC contests. I think I'd like to get involved this time around. Do you plan to release the list of games for the season in advance? It'd be a great excuse for me to pick up some homebrews.
pis
Congrats Gorfy! I have never played a whole season of the HSC, and latelly i havent played at all, but i will definetly play some next season (don´t like emulation). My suggestions for next season: 1. Stay away from the rare games, since they are rare for a reason. 2. No homebrews. 3. No PAL or NTSC exclusive games. These suggestions is becouse a lot of us atarigamers like to play the games on the real hardware, with the real software. There are still a lot of pretty common games that never has been played in the HSC, and a shitload that havent been played since ages ago. Cheers!

Ok. I try to find my vhs-camcorder then, to film my tv while playing.

LidLikesIntellivision
...hmm. I want to see homebrews in the HSC but I understand above reasons. But, on the other hand, Vocelli's suggestion was to make just a few rounds. Personally, I think it's good to have a HSC which explores many sides (paddles, rare, homebrews etc) the secret is to avoid too many games of the same type, IMHO. And I also can say many homebrews are still available for purchase, they aren't that expensive for people who really want to play on the real thing since there are available roms too. Algus
The idea of doing one or two home brews is the bait that lured me into wanting to participate in the next season though I feel for the other camp. One reason I haven't participated before was my pretty small 2600 library. I like to play on my console when I can too. As long as we don't do more than 2 or 3 and they are games everyone can play, I think it would be a lot of fun.

I'd love to get a homebew or two, but remember that shipping costs to Europe are a big letdown. At the very least, homebrew rounds should be anounced well in advance, so people have time to get the thing shipped over the pond if they want it. Stan
My suggestions for next season: 1. Stay away from the rare games, since they are rare for a reason. 2. No homebrews. 3. No PAL or NTSC exclusive games. I agree with the rare thing only because some people who play on real hardware don't have some of these titles, because they're rare. However, don't be fooled, some rare and hard-to-find games are quite good. Subterranea is one, though not mega rare, and some of Commavid's titles like Stronghold and Cakewalk are ace.
