captcapcom
I found an Intelivoice module on amazon, it was complete in box but smelled of old pipe smoke. Anyway, the unit itself is in great condition visually, but it seems messed up. I only have Space Spartans, and the boot up voice is fine... but the in game voices quit and all I get is loud static throughout gameplay. Game plays fine though. is there something I can do to get the voices working like they should? or should I look for another Module?

RickR
Also clean the cartridge circuit board edge with a q-tip and alcohol, and also do the same to the intellivoice board (that goes into the Intellivsion cartridge slot). As in these instructions: http://atariage.com/howto/clean_cartridges.html
captcapcom
No go even with a thorough cleaning, inside and out... I think I'll have to track down another unit. Fortunately they are not expensive.
HunterZero
Check the Intellivoice service manual. In particular, see the troubleshooting flow chart. http://www.vintagecomputer.it/images/accessori/intellivoice/Intellivoice_Service_Manual.pdf - James
+thegoldenband
I'm no tech expert, but that sure sounds like bad capacitors to me...?
