moycon
Finally a title I didn't have (Sleeping Dogs) anyone play that game? I downloaded it, but it didn't look like it would interest me much. Mexican drug lords game is what it looked like to me. Guardian of Light is a decent game. Funner if you co-op it.
StormSurge
I just started playing Sleeping Dogs. GTA in Hong Kong. Interesting story & a lot of combat.
cimerians
Hmmm...I may not renew my Gold, seems like it's slim pickings with the games they are choosing. Anyone know whats next as a freebie?
S1500
I just started playing Sleeping Dogs. GTA in Hong Kong. Interesting story & a lot of combat. I played it for about an hour, then rage-quitted. I couldn't mesh with the game mechanics of target enemy + attack. My character just kept going towards him, but not making all the punches. And this game throws a LOT of guys at you. Hopefully Tomb Raider(which is the new free game of the month) is better.
Metal Ghost
I'm digging the Lara Croft game, and I really didn't think I'd care one way or the other about it. Moycon's definitely correct that it's a lot more fun if you Co-Op it.
cybercylon
Tried to search, but no word for feb's freebies. Not sure how much difference it makes since I haven't the freebies from last year….
slab0meat
February: Dead Island & Toy Soldiers: Cold War
cybercylon
Wasn't Dead Island a freebie last year, or am I confusing that with another zombie game….
moycon
Dead Island is a GREAT game! I loved it way more than I thought I would. I figured it would be a Left 4 Dead rip-off, it has more in common with an RPG than L4D. The first Toy Soldiers was pretty GREAT as well. Luckily I never bought the sequel! Finally a freebie that I can take advantage of!
MrMaddog
Wasn't Dead Island a freebie last year, or am I confusing that with another zombie game…. You might be thinking Dead Rising 2 along with Case Zero
cybercylon
You might be thinking Dead Rising 2 along with Case Zero You are correct. Well, something else to download that will never get played I guess….
Hyper_Eye
This is probably the first GWG game I've been excited to see. I'm definitely going to spend some time with it.
Darth Link
Except the Xbox One has been released, and still getting free games.
Mord
Except the Xbox One has been released, and still getting free games. Assuming you're talking about the 360, yes, they apparently expanded the program past their originally announced intentions. I let my gold membership lapse anyway for now since the vast majority of the games made free aren't things I'd normally want to play. I'm keeping an eye on the freebies in case they actually have something I'm interested in, but given the state of the general 360 library as it is... I have a feeling I'll be staying Silver this year. ^^
Darth Link
Unfortunately Gold is also needed for Netflix and Vudu...
SoulBlazer
Too bad, you guys are missing out on a GREAT free game this month and one I happily paid $30 for over a year ago -- Civilization: Revolution, the console version of the popular PC game. Darth Link
I downloaded it. I have one question, what's the point of installing a game from the disc, wasting hard drive space, if you still need the disc anyway? Pointless.
Rex Dart
I have one question, what's the point of installing a game from the disc, wasting hard drive space, if you still need the disc anyway? Less wear on the disc drive & faster loading times from HDD.
S1500
I am still playing that Dead Island game I got for free. It's stupid, but it has Fallout-like elements. And sometimes the Co-op multiplayer is fun. I said SOMETIMES. Sometimes you will just die for no reason, even in safehouses. That means someone's hacking. Kick 'em. Sometimes a player will just stand there for what seems like forever. Kick 'em. Sometimes I get kicked out of my own game that THEY joined in. Whatevs.
Darth Link
Less wear on the disc drive & faster loading times from HDD. I haven't seen enough improvement, especially since you still need the disc in anyway.
NE146
I haven't seen enough improvement, especially since you still need the disc in anyway. Oh come on you know why. Anti-piracy is all. They still want to "check" you have the actual disk rather than lending it out to your brother to install on his xbox across town.
Darth Link
Busted, Was hoping there was more to it than that.
slab0meat
And it's quieter, since the disc isn't spinning a lot. If you have the room, and you play said game enough, it's worth just installing it for the small perks.
Darth Link
I did install AC: Revelations, it's the one I play most on 360 at the moment.
Cybergoth
I install everything, how else should I ever fill the 320GB
