Not really. If these carts came from a sales person, then having a self running demo of the game makes sense. Hopefully it's a complete game though.

Well, even if it turns out to be a self running demo, I wouldn't toss our hands up in the air yet as far as not having game play goes. The sales rep could have had the programmer set flags on the rom to do just that. Flags that could be deactivated by a savvy member here with that kind of knowledge & experience which could modify the game rom back to a "playable" state.

I've never seen a Colecovision proto like that though, that's more something that would happen in a modern proto. Generally when a 2600/5200/7800/Colecovision/Intellivision/etc. proto was a demo, that's all there was to it. Of course that doesn't mean that there still can't be interesting stuff hidden in the code. Then again, we don't even know if this is just a self running demo.

It's odd how drastic of a change the Power Lords titles screen undertook, almost as if the programmer continued on with development of the game even after further releases for the CV were squashed. I say this because unlike the readily available rom dump, this newly discovered version does not have any pertitnent © information for NAP Consumer Electronics along with the author's name included.

While I'm hoping for a playble Pink Panther game, I'm startiing to think that it is just a self-running demo. I hope, dearly, that I am wrong, but it certainly feels more and more like this will be the case.

@ Phattyboombatty... Incredile boxes and love the side sticker!

I just want to say that I've been working VERY hard on producing some awesome Pink Panther boxes true to P2K fashion. Whoever becomes the owner, I hope we can collaborate to make a killer product! :)

WOW! :-o Nicely done as always Phatty!
