As I said in the Xbox 360 forum, I really, really enjoy getting all these games, such as Xcom - Metro Last Light - Dungeon Defenders - Hitman - etc for only a small yearly fee. My video game budget is now much, much smaller as I haven't had the urge to hit any brick & mortar stores for a new game in several months.

Hell, between all the time I've spent playing Xcom, Metro, & Bioshock Infinite on PS3, I haven't even thought of buying inFamous 2nd Son or Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeros for the PS4.

...I haven't even had a chance to try Last of Us, which came with my PS3 bundle when it bought it last December, because I've been playing all the free games from Plus.

You don't know what you're missing. It is easily the best game I have ever played, with one of the best story-lines in video game history. You should dive into that one...you will not regret it.

I added some more used games to my collection so my backlog is piling up, but at your suggestion I moved Last of Us to the front of the queue and fired it up this weekend. The prologue is possibly the most amazing thing I've ever experienced in a video game. The TV broadcast, environmental sounds, views out the window, darkness, mystery, all add up to an amazingly tense few minutes. It is so well designed.

But I have to admit that as soon as the main story line started I was disappointed that at it's heart it's just another stealth survival game. I love the plot, and the voice acting is top notch, but the prologue had me hoping for more.

Give it time…it is, at its' core, a survival horror game, but it really is so much more with regards to the plot & character development. Trust me…this game did not disappoint me, or anyone else I know who has finished it!

Skullgirls is on the menu tonight folks....

:)

Yep, if I didn't already buy it a month or two ago I'd have downloaded it when it went free yesterday. Most I've done is play around in training so far all the same to try to get a hang of it a bit. I think I'll see if I can actually win against the computer. Not as good as I use to be at these things. ;)
