WestofHouse
They just added a game called Payday 2 to the freebies. Anyone know anything about that one?
cimerians
I never played that series so I'm unfamiliar but I remember reading somewhere that its a co-op theft game where you and a buddy go around setting up heists. Sounds fun and it looks like it got descent reviews. Nothing great, nothing bad.
cimerians
Remember Me is free tomorrow (PS3) Street Fighter X Tekken (Vita) Always wanted to try Remember Me. It got average reviews but was always curious to try it myself.
cimerians
Holy crap, ton of free stuff next month: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2014/02/27/preview-marchs-instant-game-collection/#sf1983426 Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition (PS4) Tomb Raider (PS3) Thomas Was Alone (PS3) Lone Survivor: The Director’s Cut (PS3) Unit 13 (PS Vita) Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite (PS Vita)
WestofHouse
Interesting! I've heard many great things about Monster Hunter games but I've never tried one. At first glance they seem like grind-fests.
cimerians
Uncharted is making the current list.
cimerians
Finally updated the store. Monster Hunter is not on the main page....hidden away under PSP games. I did a search for it and found it. Picked up all the other free games. Of course someday I'll get around to them.
WestofHouse
Have you seen the upcoming freebies for April? Wow. http://bit.ly/1o7q0YP
Cap5750
Not much for there for me. I already have Batman. The rest (again, for me) is probably a quick checkout and then move on to something else. The good thing is, I have plenty of other stuff to keep me busy.
WestofHouse
Arkham City is the one Batman I don't have, so I'm excited about that one.

Mendon
As I said in the Xbox 360 forum, I really, really enjoy getting all these games, such as Xcom - Metro Last Light - Dungeon Defenders - Hitman - etc for only a small yearly fee. My video game budget is now much, much smaller as I haven't had the urge to hit any brick & mortar stores for a new game in several months. Hell, between all the time I've spent playing Xcom, Metro, & Bioshock Infinite on PS3, I haven't even thought of buying inFamous 2nd Son or Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeros for the PS4. WestofHouse
I'm the same way. I haven't even had a chance to try Last of Us, which came with my PS3 bundle when it bought it last December, because I've been playing all the free games from Plus. Plus is the biggest bargain in gaming.
cimerians
Castle of Illusion is free tomorrow and it looks like you get the original Sega Genesis game with it: http://www.gamezone.com/news/2014/04/14/ps-plus-reminder-castle-of-illusion-starring-mickey-mouse-free-tomorrow

You don't know what you're missing. It is easily the best game I have ever played, with one of the best story-lines in video game history. You should dive into that one...you will not regret it.

WestofHouse
I'm excited about PES 2014. I've been considering buying a used copy of FIFA 13 or 12 to have some footie on the cheap. Glad I haven't yet. Now I just need an NHL game and I'm set.

WestofHouse
You don't know what you're missing. It is easily the best game I have ever played, with one of the best story-lines in video game history. You should dive into that one...you will not regret it. I added some more used games to my collection so my backlog is piling up, but at your suggestion I moved Last of Us to the front of the queue and fired it up this weekend. The prologue is possibly the most amazing thing I've ever experienced in a video game. The TV broadcast, environmental sounds, views out the window, darkness, mystery, all add up to an amazingly tense few minutes. It is so well designed. But I have to admit that as soon as the main story line started I was disappointed that at it's heart it's just another stealth survival game. I love the plot, and the voice acting is top notch, but the prologue had me hoping for more.

Give it time…it is, at its' core, a survival horror game, but it really is so much more with regards to the plot & character development. Trust me…this game did not disappoint me, or anyone else I know who has finished it!

Mord
Skullgirls is on the menu tonight folks.... Yep, if I didn't already buy it a month or two ago I'd have downloaded it when it went free yesterday. Most I've done is play around in training so far all the same to try to get a hang of it a bit. I think I'll see if I can actually win against the computer. Not as good as I use to be at these things.
WestofHouse
Not as good as I use to be at these things. I've never been good at them. I don't have the patience (or the time) to learn all the combo moves, so when I play I end up just mashing buttons randomly.
cimerians
Same here...not as good as I once was. I think I'm ok but not nearly as good as maybe 20 years ago. I had this game on my Steam wishlist for a while. Glad I waited I guess.
