+thegoldenband
And finally, we have the honor roll of the top games of all time (the cutoff is the 1000-minute club). These year-end all-time totals are complete all the way back through the founding of the tracker in 2008. Some reached these heights thanks to one lone gamer; some saw contributions from many different participants. But all have earned their place here, and none more so than our #1 game! May 2015 be the year that 999,999 shows up at last on that CRT. Compared to last year, the membership of the top 10 itself remains unchanged, but some games have swapped spots. Pokemon Red jumped to #4, becoming the 4th member of the exclusive 5000-minute club, while Adventure moved up to #9 by a margin of 1 minute (!) over Q*Bert's Qubes. Top games of all time (and members of the 1000-minute club): 1. Kaboom (Atari 2600) - 128343 2. Galaxian (Atari 2600) - 11420 3. Berzerk (Atari 2600) - 7424 4. If I only had one, it would -- for a while I've had the weird urge to play Highlander, even though I know it's supposed to be a disaster. And to all, thanks so much for your kind words! This whole project has definitely made me a more mindful/thoughtful player. I'm grateful to cvga for starting the ball rolling back in 2008.
twoquickcapri
Ha! If I only had one, it would -- for a while I've had the weird urge to play Highlander, even though I know it's supposed to be a disaster. I have one and all 13 games for it. Maybe I should try to get them all into the 1000 min club....... OK maybe not.
