Hi guys,

 

Back with Retro Tech with our good friend Steve. Been a while since we saw him with his Big Bed beauty. So let's listen in on what he has to say shall we? ;-)

I do have to give Chipsonsteroids plenty of respect. Instead on just taking the pre-order money and kept it until the pandemic was under better circumstances, they refunded those that ordered a copy, and gave us all notices later on when we can do so again. So they have my approval for sure. ;-)

 

And the shipping was incredibly fast. I received the game in just 3 days after it was mailed from Hungary. Better than NGDEVTEAMS offering of mailing their games (no disrespect of course). ;-)

Oh yes same here. I ordered it and it came a few days later. Very impressive!

 

I was just saying on your status update that mine was no.32 so there could be more available if there are 50 in total. Although that may not necessarily be the case.

That's awesome Riko. So glad you received it. The fella that owns Chipsonsteroids is responsive and does his best to answer everyone's questions. More respect to him for refunding everyone's money until the game was completed. ;-)

Hi guys,

 

Here's the latest newsletter from AtariAge member @Steril707 on his title Inviyya being ported over to Neo-Geo.

 

"A lot of people know I started converting Inviyya over to the Neo Geo a while ago (next to working on my next Amiga game "Krogharr").
 
I noticed lately, though, that I have more fun just making new assets, or tweaking existing stuff into something new.
 
So I had the kind of bold but maybe insane idea to combine my love for creating stuff, the Amiga and the Neo Geo into a new game instead of porting over the old one..
 
So here we go, first concept Art for Inviyya 2. My idea is that this will be released for the Neo Geo, and surprise surprise, the Amiga 1200.
 
The Neo Geo has some advantages over the 1200 (mainly shit loads of sprites with 16 colors each and almost endless ROM space), and the 1200 has some advantages over the Neo Geo (unified palette with a larger color space which helps with creating assets, flexible RAM, the Copper), but there is some huge overlap that I see that might result in a beautiful game for both machines..
So, here we go. Let's see where this leads..
 
Krogharr is also still in development here, but the game became a lot bigger and a different genre lately, since we have a rather nice side scrolling fighting game with McGeezer's and Ten Shu's excellent "Devil's Temple" on the Amiga already..
 
Anyway, I am super thankful you guys have been supporting me on this game dev journey of mine so far.. ?
 
Hope I can show some moving footage of this soon.
