From what the gentleman been saying, the entire build cost around €600, using original and premium components, with a further €150 euro for the extra controller and multicart (161-in-1 MVS to AES shell conversion + box). We unfortunately fell short at 49K of the 190K funding goal, but it was a pretty good response, with some decent coverage by techblogs. Because of this I decided to continue working on this project together with Hartmut Wendt (hwhardsoft.de). In parallel to working on a small-volume limited release run, I decided to explore the possibility of building a Neo Geo MVS into the smallest and lightest form factor possible. This was to compare actual Neo Geo games on original hardware with the more budget friendly emulated experience of the SFP. After roughly 4 months of working, tinkering, cutting, thinking and cursing I finished a fully functional mini Neo Geo MVS system: The STARFORCE NEO All-in-One System. The entire build cost around €600, using original and premium components, with a further €150 euro for the extra controller and multicart (161-in-1 MVS to AES shell conversion + box). This week for the 15th Neo-Geo Weekly Challenge will be World Heroes for the MVS. A great alternative 2D fighter that really should receive the attention it deserves for its awesome gameplay and quirky characters that make this a true cult classic in the fighting community! Thank you Aaron for what you do for us on the thread! From the description, World Heroes Neo Geo MVS-1 Credit Game. Sorry I am a day late loading this up! I didn't get to far in this classic, but had a ton of fun playing it! This is week 15 of the Neo Geo Challenge and for next week I'll play World Heroes 2! This was published by ADK, which I believe was later bought out by SNK. World Heroes came out in 1992, and was one of the great games to come out of the fighter craze in the early 90's following the rebirth of the arcades due to Street Fighter 2! I remember playing this game and thinking of it as a cheap ripoff of Street Fighter, but in fact this game, if you look deeper, has a decent story and fairly balanced gameplay.
