On the Texas Instruments Ti-99/4A you can do this in Extended Basic with 3 lines of code (Interrupt controlled Sprites). As evidenced by the fact there are so many completely different top 3 lists. S.T.U.N. Runner Rampart Rygar or Toki Honourable mentions... Xybots Ninja Gaiden Roadblasters Pacland Warbirds Battlewheels Battlezone 2000 Blue Lightning Klax Cyberball gets so much hate, but I actually don't mind it.
