+atari2600land
Since I have decided that most of the INTV end labels are pretty boring, only showing the name of the game and often nothing else, I've decided I am going to try to attempt making my own that have more detail on them. I probably don't have the right size, so if anyone knows the right size, please tell me. Here is one I made for Thin Ice. Nice, or no?
+save2600
Pretty cool! I too have pondered the prospect of replacing some of my more shotty looking labels with something more fun. Would normally never consider ruining originality that way, but some of the Intellivision labels really are boring,
+JasonlikesINTV
What do you mean boring!? There are different fonts, different label sizes, ones with and without copyright...it's literally a cornucopia of variation On a more serious note, your label looks cool. I'm a variation collecting purist, so I tend to appreciate the boring originality and shy away from improving items. Those labels tell a story...even if it's that they were on a budget and didn't think anyone would mind boring labels. That being said, I'm strongly considering replacing all of my Sears cart labels with the nice new red ones that came with the Sears Overlay Set
mojotv67
Well, just like with the Sears Overlay & label sets and The Original Orphan Overlays you could have a set of Graphic End Labels. Those that want to replace their boring end labels can. And others can keep it in the minty box/receptacle/other

Uzumaki
They may have been boring but Mattel saved probably 2 cents per cart using tiny label without fancy artwork.
freewheel
Given that this was the 80s, I bet the savings were substantial. Even 10 cents per cart is a significant profit helper when you're producing 20,000 carts.
+BBWW
and the need all those tiny thumbs to put them on…if only they had a robot labeler…the crash might have come a year later.
