It shows ALL NEW messages in real-time as they are being posted in ALL areas of Atari Age. When people spam one section, it makes the whole utility worthless. Many people use the ACTIVITY screen to watch for activity in their favorite areas/topics, or to find NEW areas of interest that they never knew about. Technically this topic is trending, but probably not proportionally to the number of posts per hour since most are pretty empty posts by few people. Yeah, if the posts had some useful content and were not just some adolescent game to jack up the numbers, it would not be an issue. But the mindless spamming effects all of Atari Age, and a lot of users.
