As somebody who has purchased this directly from Sean in the past, I assure you this is a worthy buy, and urge Vectrex owners who do not have this yet to get it while you can. Resellers sell this for over twice as much, so now's the time to buy!

RickR
May I ask a really dumb question? I have a 72 game Vectrex Multi-Cart. It isn't Sean Kelly. I think mine was make in the UK. Is there any advantage to one over the other? Thanks.
CRTGAMER
THANK YOU! Just placed an order. I have most of the original and some home brew carts already. However, this is an outstanding deal considering the extras!

chas10e
thanks, took the opportunity to snag one myself May I ask a really dumb question? I have a 72 game Vectrex Multi-Cart. It isn't Sean Kelly. I think mine was make in the UK. Is there any advantage to one over the other? Thanks. I had the same question.... well almost , I don't have any other Vectrex multicarts yet
Blazing Lazers
I have to pay $35 more for shipping AND import taxes.... no way :( Oh, you're not in the US. Regardless, it still might be a good deal if you want one of these carts. Buying it anywhere else would cost you over twice as much, and unlike those other sellers Sean Kelly is a true paragon of the community. You truly cannot find a better and more reputable seller, and if you decide to resell at some future time you will undoubtedly break even financially
Blazing Lazers
May I ask a really dumb question? I have a 72 game Vectrex Multi-Cart. It isn't Sean Kelly. I think mine was make in the UK. Is there any advantage to one over the other? Thanks. The Sean Kelly one has around 60 games, including all of the original games (except for Animaction), while the 72-in-1 has some extra samplers and homebrews. But the Sean Kelly one comes fully assembled with a cart shell and label, directly from a paragon of the community who has been selling them for over a decade at this point. The 72-in-1 may not come with a cart shell, and depending on shipping might cost a lot more. Price wise, convenience wise, and heritage wise, Sean Kelly's cart is the best one, though there are more programs in the 72-in-1.

But to send a cart in France costs $14 maximum. It's "unfair" to ask almost $20 for import taxe. Yes, Sean Kelly is really someone we can trust of course and someone who did a lot for the community...

+GoldenWheels
Thanks Lasers! No way I could pass one up at this price. Merry Xmas to me.
CRTGAMER
Of note Minestorm II and Mr Boston is in the cart, both very rare games. Any Vectrex owner should jump on this cart which is cheaper then one current generation game.

Manoau2002
Don't know if the vecmulti (sd cart) is still for sale anywhere but it's the best multicart to buy. I had the 72 in one cart but with the vecmulti you can play whatever game you want.
chas10e
mine arrived today & very pleased having fun with games & looking through here, http://vectrexmuseum.com/vectrexgamemodules.php
+save2600
Finally received mine today... what's up with the "empty slot" entries on the cart menu? Btw: crashed the console just by flipping between menu pages. Anyone else notice that on theirs? Wasn't doing anything special or obnoxious. Just moved down a page and back up... black screen of death! lol
chas10e
this is roughly a fifteen year old design for a thirty year old system so taking that into account I'm ok with some things that some might find annoying having to turn system off & on again to change games for example & having to view the whole intro splash screen ... that's just how some things were back then & sort of a novelty its design helps keeping you playing the same game the origonal 3D games (3D Crazy Coaster, 3D Minestorm, & 3D Narrow Escape) at top of menu need the 3D imager to work at all (which I don't have yet) but is known amongst the hard core Vectrex community, I was able to play 3D Pole Position but hadn't noticed anything different from origonal games that require a Light Pen are Art Master, & Melody Master, Finally received mine today... what's up with the "empty slot" entries on the cart menu?Btw: crashed the console just by flipping between menu pages. Anyone else notice that on theirs? Wasn't doing anything special or obnoxious. Just moved down a page and back up... black screen of death! lol the "empty slot" thing is another thing I can get along with surfing through the menu I couldn't get a black screen as described above ... tried all kinds of stuff ================================================================================================================================================== however if I'm on the 2'nd bank-switched menu game & hit the reset button on the console it will start a game from the first menu screen also when playing Vectrexian (on 2'nd title screen) hitting reset will start Frogger , while letting game recycle on it's own starts Minestorm (and after playing Minestorm , hitting reset starts Frogger) all that being said I still think this thing is awesome to have , I have been playing mine with the Minestorm overlay
+save2600
^ Yeah, I've experienced weird goings-ons with the menu and reset button too. Guess it's all "normal" for this cart, but amazing what's never mentioned by other users when it comes to these types of idiosyncrasies. +wongojack
also when playing Vectrexian (on 2'nd title screen) hitting reset will start Frogger , while letting game recycle on it's own starts Minestorm (and after playing Minestorm , hitting reset starts Frogger) Mine does this too. From memory it seems exactly as you describe it. I also get some lines that aren't so straight while playing Vectrexian (but only on that game). The aliens narrow on one side of the screen. Anyway, I'm pleased with it too even with its faults.

holygrailvideogames.com
They're back, for a limited time: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sean-Kelly-Vectrex-Multi-Cart-BRAND-NEW-BUY-IT-NOW-/122000956065 ...for those who still haven't got one Sean has sold 125 of these in the last couple of weeks. He mentions that internally the cartridge has changed. He must have found an easier way to make these. I don't think that I have ever seen him sell this many before in such a short period of time.
