I was wondering though, have you considered making a 7800 version of this game like @Revontuli did with Dragon's Descent?  It might make for an interesting opportunity for you to exorcise some of those "demons of regret" that are plaguing you at the moment.

Sounds interesting I need to read the docs on it but that would be a good idea.

Hi @ultima I think Sword of Surtr is awesome!  Sorry if you've already answered this question but I didn't see your answer: are you allowing folks to make carts?  I'd love to order a custom cart from AtariAge with your rom and label design if that's okay.

Sure glad you liked it. Yeah I never got around to finishing the manual but its fine if all you want is a custom cart.

What an awesome game! Played for awhile and finally accomplished victory. Not an easy game, but fair. My favorite game on the Atari 2600 has always been Adventure. Yars Revenge a close second. I would put this game in my top 5. This is just my opinion. Hopefully a sequel is in the works.

The Sword Of SURTR.bin

Loki the god of mischief has stolen the sword of the fire giant Surtr

and hidden it away!! Take control of Haldor and find the lost blade then
seek a way into Valhalla to bring it to Odin himself...

Will you journey through the ice caverns of the Dwarves? Or seek out the
Mysterious Old Man up in the mountains? Or command your Dragon ship through
a deadly Maelstrom in search of unsung treasures? The choice is yours!!

I know it's a general forum no-no to necro a dead thread but someone else already did it above and I'm kind of glad as I wasn't aware of this game.  Nice job!  I'm curious as to how many total screens it has as I've got a pipe dream to do a Zelda style overworld in Batari Basic but have no idea how much space to expect each screen to use with the basic kernal in my case so figured I'd ask.  The switch to naval combat was a nice touch btw!
