Kiwi
I used Nostalgia Emulator to run Intellivision. It has a Graphic User Interface built in. So this make it easy to run the game. Oh yea, you'll need the EXEC.bin, GROM.bin and ECS.bin. However, Nostalgia emulator isn't accurate. jzintv is much better emulator. Find jzIntv Launcher, the front end, to make the process of running jzIntv a lot easier. make sure that the EXEC.bin, GROM.bin and ECS.bin are in the C:\jzintv\bin\ folder. I tend to misspell jzintv as jzinty and mess up the entire command line . Once you have jzintv running with a game, press F6 to assign the control that fire1 is shift, I think fire2 is ctrl and the keyboard arrow key moves your character. Hope this helps you out a bit. This would help me out. If I knew what you were talking about! I admit. I have no idea how to do this kind of stuff.
doctorclu
Last time I got emulation running for Intellivision was on the Dreamcast. Like Rev I had yet to make the jump to emulation with my Intel Macs.

Yeah, one way is to jump in the ice cold water and work your way through it. Okok, don't jump in ice cold water. It's anxiety I think. http://www.intellivision.us/intvgames/nostalgia/nostalgia.php will get you the Nostalgia Emulator. I do wished I can come over and help you set it up. I'm in Illinois. +DZ-Jay
I will make it my personal goal in life to get Rev playing in emulation. After all, he never purchased a copy of my game in cartridge, so the least I can do is help him play the ROM. (just kidding Rev!)

Like Rev I had yet to make the jump to emulation with my Intel Macs. For Mac you need to use the Terminal (UNIX shell, a command-line), it took me years to figure this, mostly because these were my first steps in Mac! 1. Download libsdl 1.2 for Mac OS X. https://www.libsdl.org/download-1.2.php 2. Open Finder with folder where you downloaded it. 3. Open context menu in icon (two fingers click) and select Open to install it. (needed because it's an unsigned app) 4. Download jzintv for Mac OS X. http://spatula-city.org/~im14u2c/intv/ 5. Unpack it in your documents folder. 6. Rename the folder (has a long name) to something easier like jzintv. 7. Download exec.bin, grom.bin and maybe Burgertime from some ROM site, put these into the jzintv/bin folder. 8. Open Terminal app (found in the Launchpad in the Others folder) 9. Usually you're in your home folder. Enter "cd documents" (without quotes) and press Enter. 10. "cd jzintv" 11. "cd bin" 12. "./jzintv -z1 burgertime.bin" Wow! in my mind I thought it was easier... For PC is something similar with steps changed. (hey rev this is for you) 1. Download jzintv for Windows. 2. Uncompress it in your My Documents folder. 3. Rename directory to something shorter (jzintv is my suggestion) 4. Download exec.bin, grom.bin, and Burgertime (put these in jzintv/bin directory) 5. Download libsdl 1.2 for Windows (installer or DLL) 6. Install libsdl or copy the DLL file into the jzintv/bin folder 7. Open cmd.exe (use Run File from Start button in Windows XP) 8. Usually you're in your home directory, enter "cd my documents" (without quotes) 9. "cd jzintv" 10. "cd bin" 11. "jzintv -z1 burgertime.bin" Not sure if something changes for Windows 7 or 8. A suggestion: instead of Burgertime, you can download a little cute game Christmas Carol http://www.carolvsghost.com/pg_game.html

"./jzintv -z1 burgertime.bin" GUIntv (download in this thread) is a good way to avoid using the Terminal and skip steps 7-12 after you've got the pieces gathered up on your Mac. But it doesn't let you set flags for ECS, JPL, or other things. I've never used the Terminal on my Mac and was about to look up the steps for launching jzintv this way, but now I don't have to, thanks to nanochess' post. Thanks!
