+sm3
There is a new article on gamasutra.com about the TRS-80 and games. Haven't finished reading it myself yet, but wanted to post a link here in case someone else wants to take a look: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/182224/games_from_the_trash_the_history_.php Update: Oops, it appears to be an old article that they are posting again. Oh well, still might be a good read.
+nanochess
In fact I remember reading some 80-Micro magazines, it was kind of official magazine for TRS-80 computers.
jhd
I used a Model III at elementary school in the early-1980s. We had a few simple text-based games (e.g. Star Trek, Hunt the Wumpus, Othello), and some stuff coded in BASIC by one of the more talented students (who later went on to be a professional programmer), but I was completely unaware of the range of commercial arcade games that were ported to that system. Virtually none of these titles had any retail distribution -- only the few games sold by Radio Shack -- and none of us had read (or were even aware of) 80-Micro. I would love to have played Zaxxon or any of the Scott Adams' games BITD.
Clint Thompson
I always thought Liberator was awesome on the Model III but could never find any information about it, even to this day. Who made it, etc. etc. Then there were the Zork series and I really enjoyed Witness. I forget the Mart game version but also played that a bit. Goofy stuff... loved it though for what it was. Oh, and Eliza... can never forget my first encounter with her lol Edited May 29, 2015 by Clint Thompson
