7800fan
From Michigan, prefer not to ship outside continental USA due to large size and weight of the system. The system works fine and I've used to play some games after I pulled it out of retirement over a year ago. I don't have the official alignment disk so I can't check the internal disk drive but it has not given me any problem so it's probably close to proper alignment. Keyboard does need a bit of TLC, it is yellowed and the 40/80 key seems to not work well, I guess it needs to be taken apart and cleaned thoroughly. The C128 case also shows some use and it's not perfect but is in very good shape. RGB cable (9 pin D to DIN plug) for Commodore monitor is included along with power cable, you would need another cable for C64 mode and 40 col mode on 128 (either the composite/S-Video cable or RF cable) I got JiffyDOS chip installed (about $50 value from official seller) and the switch is on the front for easy access as I found a few games did not like JiffyDOS at start but will load additional data (ie map, new area, save and load) faster when I switch after the main code is loaded. The 2 original chips are also included, taped down on top of cart slot (red tape) if you ever want to revert to stock 128D for any reason. Lastly, I hacked in a new fan and used standard PC 3 pin header for easy replacement in the future or just to disconnect for silent mode. I don't have the box size or weight yet so I don't know what would cost to ship but it is bigger than any of USPS flat rate box. I am selling it because I rarely used the 128 mode and when I do, it's almost always to play Ultima 5 which has BGM only in 128 mode. I can live with just the smaller C64 I have sitting around instead. Pictures: JiffyDOS switch on the front under the badge keyboard. Ugly, I haven't tried retrobrite 128D mainboard JiffyDOS for the 128D. The other one is under the disk drive original chip if you want to remove JiffyDOS Fan mod label with the SN visible 128 in 80-col mode 128 in 40-col mode and C64 mode Asking $250 plus shipping from Michigan or pick up near Flint/Saginaw area. You can pay through Paypal as normal purchase and not as gift for buyer's protection.
