globeron
Q*BERT 102585 (classic99) At Level 5 RND I still had 5 lives, but I could not figure out how to complete the last cube (as the colors keep alternating you need to find a pattern or sequence to complete the last one...at full speed)

+mizapf
I admit I have a hard time with Ugg and Wrongway in Q*bert. These are the purple guys that hop on the side faces of the cubes. I often fail to predict their next hop.

The game is Defender right? (Or do they look similar, I could not find it 1-2-3 to compare). Also in this episode they win a TI-99/4A with TI monitor. Count9929A
mission accomplished !! (for me) I'd like to play more, but I will have very little time until the end of the month, so I think this will be my highest score in this competition. Anyway, I had much fun and I am glad to have enjoyed the opportunity of knowing better this game! (The score was achived on a real TI) Edited November 27, 2017 by Count9929A
unhuman
My best so far - not winning - but not horrible. I really wish Q*Bert had a squishy sound when you (and Coily) die.QBert52k.bmp
+OLD CS1
I always lamented the TI conversion lacked speech.
Airshack
All of the Parker Brothers conversions for the TI are like this. In another thread PB developer docs and notes have been posted up (they are probably now available in the WHTFTP, as well) which give some explanation for how and why they were made this way. Where? Developer docs somewhere? Very cool. Interested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
+Torrax
The developer docs from Todd Marshall who worked at JWDA (James Wickstead Design Associates) and did the Frogger conversion for Parker Brothers are here: http://www.ataricompendium.com/archives/interviews/todd_marshall/interview_todd_marshall.html And an interview from Steve Zedeck who programmed the Tutankham protype: http://www.digitpress.com/library/interviews/interview_steve_zedeck.html He mentions a consulting company in N.J. (no name) that did Popeye and possibly Q-bert. Edited November 30, 2017 by Torrax

There is a link in the section for Frogger on the TI-99/4A: http://www.ataricompendium.com/archives/documents/tech_docs/wickstead_ti994a_overview.zip Also, near the bottom of the page is a link to Frogger prototypes. And source code!
+Torrax
The link in the Frogger section explains their own internal GROM development and implimentation. Nice little read there. Edited November 30, 2017 by Torrax

+Ksarul
Did anyone snag the three Frogger source code files before the server dropped the site? The interview itself is available on the Wayback machine (they snagged it on the 17th of November), but the files weren't part of the grab, unfortunately. I turned the Wayback version of the page into a document file, and I can upload it here after I convert it to PDF if anyone is interested.

You require a Joystick and the button to shift gears Brochure:
