The Beamriders can clinch their third Action Network championship with a win next week. If they lose, then the Ghosts and Smash still have slim chances of getting into first place. We possibly will not see a repeated champion in the Battle Network as the Armada can clinch the title with a win next week. If they lose, then the River Raiders, Bombers and Deadly Dogs will be close behind. The champions of both networks will face off in the league championship series starting June 27. Dogs win 2-1, jumping into second place and keeping their championship hopes alive! These are some hot dogs! That's their 5th win in a row. Battle Network title is now between Armada, Deadly Dogs and River Raiders and will be decided next week. It's an inter-network week with potentially big games. Here's an update of the league: The Beamriders have clinched their third straight Action Network championship with a record of 7-2. They will try to repeat as league champions, having beaten the Bombers in the 2015 championship series. The Battle Network will have it's third new champion this year. The Armada are in first place with a record of 6-3. The River Raiders and Deadly Dogs are tied for second place, both with 5-4 records. The Armada can win the network championship with a win next week. If they lose, the River Raiders and Deadly Dogs can enter into a tie with the Armada with wins next week. Then the championship would be decided by a tie breaker. The biggest news of the week is that the championship series WILL HAVE SOUND! (thanks to intvnut). These will be the first games in league history to have sound. The original speed and timing of the game will also be preserved, instead of being simulated like in the past. The best-of-three championship series begins June 27. Games can be followed live on twitter @intysports. Game time is around 11:30am PT.
