Albert
Off topic from 7800 games but is PacManPlus' NES ports of Berserk/Frenzy going into the store as well? Had a chance to play this at PRGE and was pretty cool Maybe.
AtariLeaf
Maybe. Oh yea I forgot about this. Is it the same as the 7800 port or are there differences?
PacManPlus
There are a few differences. In the NES version: - The walls in Frenzy are multi-colored, like the arcade - The speech is different (and unfortunately there's less of it), but it can play without stopping the game action - In two-player simultaneous modes, the first person to leave ends the level (this is how I should have done it in the 7800 version) Edited March 17, 2017 by PacManPlus
Dauber
- In two-player simultaneous modes, the first person to leave ends the level (this is how I should have done it in the 7800 version) Whoa...I've never played two-player simultaneous mode, but...I thought that WAS how the 7800 version does it, from what I read in the WIP thread. How is it handled?? (Yeah, I can just play it myself, but who has time?)
PacManPlus
In the 7800 version, the first person to leave gets the door slammed shut behind them. This way, the second player cannot leave through the same exit. ( Never tried having two players leaving the same exit at the exact same moment though... ) The level ends when the second player leave through another exit.

Holy cow, sign me up. If Albert wants to sell NES homebrew, I recommend Memblers GT-ROM boards for versatility or INL PCBs for simpler mappers. INL sells bulk shells in a variety of colors so finding donors is a non-issue. I prefer colored carts to differentiate vintage grey carts from 'brews but it really doesn't matter.

Are they those crappy snap together shells ? I think someone sells shells that use screws .

Trebor
We need an NES Frenzy video to help showcase the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8auhLd7UW9I
+GoldenWheels
I thank PMP for all his works and anything he wants to do is of course ok by me, but have to jokingly toss it out there as the jealous type....NES games? Doesn't the NES already have ENOUGH games? That sweet ass Atari 7800 on the other hand.....
Trebor
My paddles are waiting. For all who have the pleasure of utilizing paddles with Super Circus Atari Age (Or Crazy Brix*), they should always be plugged into the right controller port. Left controller port should contain whatever joystick/gamepad you normally utilize for other 7800 games. *Crazy Brix also requires the Difficulty Switches to be set appropriately to specify what type of controller is being utilized. In Super Circus Atari Age, the Difficulty Switches configure other things.
PacManPlus
Thanks, Trebor... Looking at that list, I guess I should have been more consistent with the difficulty settings and the on-screen options... Trebor
Shame on me, this is long overdue. What is shown first is a playthrough with 2 players alternating under Classic Mode turned off, then it is followed by another playthrough with Classic Mode turned on. I'm not the greatest player, so overall game difficulty set to easy, Difficulty Switches set for no additional barriers and players 1 and 2 share the same set of balloons. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfSPOT6KzFQ *EDIT: Oops, almost forgot...Classic Mode Off also has Refill set to "All" instead of "Row" (Which is configured for Classic Mode turned on), so the boss is encountered after clearing the board of balloons.
AtariLeaf
That looks amazing. Super Circus Atariage is definitely my most wanted of this new batch of homebrews but I would definitely, absolutely for sure buy an NES Frenzy. I love the 7800 version and besides, you can never have enough PacManPlus games

David Alexander
1 copy already Sold. Please make sure there is enough copies to go around.
CPUWIZ
1 copy already Sold. Please make sure there is enough copies to go around. HOKEY is not done yet, so this is limited to the amount of POKEY chips available. Unfortunately not an artificial shortage, like modern consoles and phones. And there is no line to stand in, so there is that. Although the visual of people standing in line at AAHQ, for a copy of BBCQ kind of amuses me. LOL

Well I am not speaking for anyone and this is just an assumption but like the last few AA releases , AA subscribers get the option to buy first

Armonigann
I've been waiting for Bentley to become available for quit some time now, is there a date for release, and are there only a limited amount being made? Thanks.
Trebor
Even if an AtariVox is not attached and the game is played without speech present, this is one awesome shooter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz1IvvzABP0 The one controller (Standard) or 2-Stick option is sweet. What's accomplished with PTP is amazing.
