Skippy B. (Left Controller to move and Right Controller to fire) HIGHSCORE.COM TOP score for 7800 Robotron 2084, Intermediate (2 controllers as default): 1,593,650 (S.BAZ) (Emulator) 3,623,550 (S.BAZ) (Hardware) Robotron 2084 Intermediate 570,650 (I used 2 controllers just to be honest) ROBOTRON.png A very good point! Robotron is definitely best played with two joysticks, and those using a single joystick to play will be at a severe disadvantage when it comes to scoring. For the record I did use a twin stick controller for my scores, but if Mister-VCS would rather everyone play with a single joystick to keep the playing field level for those who might not have a twin stick controller setup then I can always toss my current score out and play it again with a single joystick. BydoEmpire
I don't have two sticks I can use together, so it is what it is. Uniquely challenging with one stick, and while obviously it's better with and designed for two, I still think it's pretty fun. I honestly hadn't played 7800 Robotron much before, but like many 7800 arcade ports I like the easier, smoother difficulty ramp. 267,550 Edited November 18, 2016 by BydoEmpire

Cobra Kai
I know how to play Robotron. I just scored over 3 million, but it didn't save the score to my screen by the time I went for the camera? What the hell! Now I have to spend an hour doing it all over again, and make sure to pause before I lose my last life so I can get a pic.

Skippy B. Coyote
4,209,400 W-wow! 4 million points on Wave 39 is amazing! I could barely get 1/4 of that by Wave 44. Skippy B. Coyote
That's wave 139. Well, that would explain it. Fantastic job once again, that is a really astounding score.
Cobra Kai
The thing is I got really good at Smash TV arcade. It makes Robotron a walk in the park. Intermediate seems really easy to me though, the game maxes out in difficulty, I mean I got really careless after 3.8 million because I knew that was my benchmark and I had to get off the game soon so I could spend time with the girlfriend. Skippy B. Coyote
A substantial improvement over my last score, and I made it to Wave 57 this time! Listening to Kenny Loggins' Danger Zone on loop while playing helped a lot more than I imagined it would. Mangia-Boy
131,800. Played with only one joypad. Robotron with one joystick is a Paralympic discipline.
Dauber
319,500 EdLaddin Supreme 78 on my lap as the main control, UberArcade on my desk as the firing mechanism. I always sucked at this game, but I've sucked much less since I tried with these two controllers. (Noticed my Mario score isn't in the Mario thread. That makes me sad. ) Edited November 21, 2016 by Dauber
Skippy B. Coyote
EdLaddin Supreme 78 on my lap as the main control, UberArcade on my desk as the firing mechanism. I always sucked at this game, but I've sucked much less since I tried with these two controllers. *snipped* (Noticed my Mario score isn't in the Mario thread. That makes me sad. ) That's a really unique and cool control setup! It'd be really interesting to find out what all the people playing Robotron this week are using to control it. Going the twin stick route definitely requires some creativity with any setup. Since I'm playing the game via emulation on the Wii I'm using the twin thumb sticks on the Wii's Classic Controller to play, which aren't quite as nice as proper dual arcade sticks but they still work pretty well. I noticed that the Mario Bros. score list hasn't been updated too. I'm guessing Mister-VCS just hasn't had time to do it yet, but I'm sure he'll get around to updating the Mario Bros. scores and overall standings before too long. Cobra Kai
There definitely needs to be a thread for overall club standings.
