Willard
Cortex designs isnt an ass like retro-planet. Hi, I have no intention of cancelling your bid - in fact I'm not able to do that anyway. I will honour my commitment to whoever wins the auction. Under eBay rules I am not allowed to stop the auction, because there has already been at least one bid. If no-one had bid, then I could have stopped the auction, but not now. Good luck! (cortex designs, seller of the flash card)

PeterG
I wrote him a mail just asking for information and he seems like a really cool guy. I also asked for permition to put the mails here in this open forum so for anyone who is interested I thought there are some valuable infos in his mails. Hi Peter, > > Seems like this card is gathering a lot of interest - I thought I might get > 15.00 UKP and it's already up to 41.00 UKP! > > As mentioned in the text, LiveWire was an unfinished game and the code might > only exist on this card; whether anyone else has retained it, I have no > idea. It's the same as if you bought a painting - you can't just go printing off copies :-) There is a legal issue here, not least the fact that I am only one of the copyright holders, not the sole one. But we'll see what happens. If the source code no longer exists and the other copyright holder is in agreement, I would not have any objection to it being released. Until that time it cannot be dumped as it could affect the eventual outcome of the full game being produced _if_ the source code is still available! There is a chance this will happen as there is a publisher who's very interested. Incidentally, I saw your mention of "Atari cancelling LiveWire". That's not strictly true - Atari cancelled themselves by getting taken over! We were literally one day away from signing the contract... :-/ I took a look at the forum and noticed the interest that has been generated! One of the guys on there has contacted me (Gaztee) to take some video footage and screenshots, so hopefully you will be able to see it soon! Feel free to publish this mail on the forum as you wish. Regards, David Encill sounds good, hope the game will make it out to everyone.... Peter
