decle
Hey Guys, Newbie question and my powers of Google are failing me I'm afraid. Anyone know how you subvert the MAME "supported software" lists? Specifically, if I'm developing a ROM and I want to test it in MAME, is there a way to do this easily, without having to resort to a custom build, CRCs and all that pointless melarchy? Cheers decle
mr_me
I just ignore the mame software list and load the cartridge image file directly. If you are talking about Intellivision, mame doesn't understand .cfg files but it does understand .rom files. I think it assumes the mattel default memory map otherwise.

As I said, newbie question. Although, strange it is missing from -showusage. Cheers
mr_me
This is the command I use in windows. mame64.exe -w -prescale 2 intvoice -cart %1 I'm assuming you're testing in different emulators. I found that mame has some compatibility issues with newer games and some old unreleased games. It even has issues with NASL Soccer.
