Jeffrey Worley
It is repairable. Some of the contacts are bent but can be straightened. A little tlc and a full set of keycaps and you are running mechanical. RSVP YHOSvt. ** TNM **
toddtmw
Do you have a flat tire you want to give away too? ?
All_S-Video
I would love the #1 key if you could spare that. Just ordered an 800 like what i had as a little kid, but it's untested and missing the 1 key. It should be a fun project.

Jeffrey Worley
I should mention that the keyboard actually WORKS, it is just a little sad is all. This is an early model. Many 800's have a membrane keyboard, a quite good one very similar to the 1200xl's. RSVP YHOSvt. ** TNM **
Jeffrey Worley
BTW, I'm building ten 512k boards for the 800. I have the parts for eight on hand and am waiting on the circuit boards. My cost is something on the order of 25.00. If anyone's interested, let me know. I'll post again when the boards start coming alive, circa 2 weeks to a month. Jeffrey Worley
xrbrevin, at least I don't have a 1050 that needs a cat blanket. Mine works just fine without the insulation. ? ** TNM **
Nebulon
The space bar on mine rocks side to side. Is that normal?
griff3125
Nope, it should push down evenly from any angle, at least every 800 I've owned has done that. It sounds like the little metal bar underneath might not be attached properly.

Now, I have a rusted-out door that has good hinges on it. Looks like this guy could use those hinges. ?
