Jeffrey Worley
I occurred to me the other day that while the new PokeOne chip does not implement some functions we need for our Atari computers and is therefore of no use to us, that we DO have a use to which we may put this new chip. GUMBY. Gumby is the name for the second pokey added to Ataris to produce Stereo. It seems to me that it is a waste of an increasingly hard-to-get Pokey to put one in as a Gumby and that the PokeyOne is tailor-made for Gumby. Anyone want to give this a try? I bet it drops in and works. ** TNM **
SS
The PokeOne chip is a little bit bigger than a POKEY. Would one fit onto a stereo board?
Jeffrey Worley
I honestly don't know, but it looks like there is plenty of room, and of course, if you do the old pokey/gumby original upgrade, there is no board, only one chip soldered on top of another, and that would surely 'fit'. ** TNM **
