can you see your router's SSID if you select "Setup"->"WiFi Setup" ?

Yes

What happens if you select your router there and type in your password (with @Andrew Davie's awesome onscreen keyboard)?

So, something's changed.

Have you done anything - anything at all - with your router?

Moved it, reset it, changed any settings...?

Had a power cut recently?

There has to be something different.

I did have a power outage 2 nights ago.

I factory reset the router tonight, everything connects to the wifi fine, except the pluscarts

OK, that's very interesting and has to be significant.

Something is now different and the PlusCart is using old/invalid connection data...?

A good test would be to change the password on the router, and then update the password in the PlusCart, (right?)

That should force the PlusCart to generate a new WPA2 encryption key.

Unfortunately the old Enduro HSC ROM did not sent the necessary information to display the Activision patch, so @Omegamatrix has decided to updated the Enduro HSC ROM.

The new ROM sends the "Race Day" to the backend API, and we can display the related Activision patch for all games played from now on.

PlusCart user/tester can find the PAL, PAL60, and NTSC versions in the PlusStore directory "Public ROMs\PlusROMs\High Score Club"

The NTSC version can be played online in javatari.js. The ROM-file can also be played with Gopher2600.

Scores send by the old ROM (if you have downloaded it and still use it) will not be displayed at the HSC anymore.

Forgot how much fun this game can be. Btw, there appears to be an issue. Played two other games where I scored ~43k and ~47k (Fast Speed, Straight Shots) but the high scores were not captured. This seems to happen if I hit reset within a game. I “rage” reset because I died pretty quickly and that seemed to stop my cart from communicating (I’m guessing)? Anyway, I checked my scores and noticed these two games were not included, so I unplugged/plugged the cart back in to establish a new connection and my next high score (51,710) did upload.

Yes, you exited early. The highscore write only occurs once a game when the user is finally dead, but it does take ~1.5 seconds after the final death before that code is hit.

To get an idea of when it occurs try using a "breakif pc==fa7a" in Stella's debugger, without the quotes.

Okay, I'll be sure to count 2-3 Mississippi’s before starting each game.

I've seen there are two Combat roms, ending in -us and -de.

I think their purpose is online play.

How does it work?

It is a PoC for realtime online gaming. You need an emulator like gopher2600 or a second PlusCart.

The clients get out of sync really fast, because they only exchange the joystick data via the PlusROM backend.

It's client side prediction without server side correction.
