+jgkspsx
I mean, I can use them in a pinch, but most of the games I play don't need them. The Analogue Pocket design is better but not that much better.
LordKraken
but since the compatibility goes up to the PS1, there is no need for more than 2 L/R buttons or?

The PS1 had four shoulder buttons and for instance Tomb Raider makes essential use of them.

The game selection is almost perfect other than Tempest 2600 and Dirty Larry Lynx. The inclusion of Save Mary is long overdue. The Stern games are fun and the new 5200 and Lynx games (save one) are great additions. Everything seems to play as well as ever. Asteroids arcade is a visual mess but it's playable. Pong is fixed so you win or lose, and the CPU is a lot less perfect now. The d pad is fine for most games but breaks two of the best: Yars' Revenge and Aquaventure both freeze the character when you put any pressure on the center of the d pad, which often leads to instant death. The light bleed at the edge of the screen is much less than on my old Taito Super Pocket. I guess they fixed whatever was causing it. All in all it's an awesome little device. I'm glad you got yours. Mine is on the way. Also, thanks for the detailed post.
