Shannon
It's a good thing I found this in the manual "make sure both difficulty switches are to the right.." for tower toppler or else I would have thought something was wrong with the game. What's up with that? Is it a test mode? Or a bug that made it past playtesting? btw pretty neat game.
+davidcalgary29
You can use the difficulty switches to access the "cheat" mode, and I'm sure that Atari didn't want to make this game too easy for players. The cheat's available in the 7800 section, but, in a nutshell, if you put both difficulty switches to the left, the game will cycle through all towers. When you want to play a certain game, move the right (joystick 2) difficulty switch to the right.
+Propane13
I remember taking Tower Toppler back to Toys R Us as a kid because I thought it was defective. When the exchange copy exhibited the same problem, I then read the manual -John
deadtech
Tower Toppler was one of the first game i got for my 7800. I only got my 7800 stuff maybe 2 years ago, so i am new to it. I didn't have the manual for my first copy. I say first copy, because I assumed that one was busted and gave it away. I got another NIB and CGE last year, and then I found out "the secret". I felt pretty foolish. -deadtech
Shannon
I'm not sure what prompted me to look in the manual, but it's a good thing I did.
