tschak909
Hello, everyone. As some of you know, We've been working on #FuijNet support for a variety of printers, and one of them is the Atari 822. It is rather unique among the Atari printers in that it actually supports bitmapped graphics. Based on the technical reference from the Trendcom 100, I was able to write a test program that should properly exercise the printer. Anyone who has this printer, can you please run and take pics of the results? This will help us refine the emulation of this printer. To help, just boot this disk, with an Atari 822 printer connected. Pressing RETURN, will run the test once. -Thom A822.atr
tschak909
Thanks to @Bill Lange have figured out that the graphics mode isn't as documented in the Trendcom 200 manual, but rather is done in a completely different fashion. There are two programs known to output graphics to the 822, the test program in the owners manual, AND the APX Screen Dump Utility, both written at Atari.... ...the only weird thing I can see, is that it's abusing the DUNIT number in the screen dump program... but why? -Thom
jamm
I tried to find the author of the APX Screen Dump Utility and was surprised that it wasn't easy to do. Were you able to get source or reverse-engineer?
