I've attached a win32 console executable. Thanks Hias . The new version of your patchrom program did the trick for me. Here's a stock XEGS ROM that has had the Self Test routines replaced with the 1200XL RAINBOW screen, has HiSpeed OS routines incorporated, and has an updated checksum. XEGS_RAINBOW_HiPatch.rom This is still a 32Kbyte ROM image, so will work in a stock XEGS system. 4
+mytek
I used option -k to leave out the keyboard IRQ routines in that XEGS ROM image I just posted. Was wondering what impact it would have if I had let them get patched? Do you lose compatibility with any applications by doing so?
HiassofT
-k disables hotkey support - I usually have that enabled. Especially SHIFT+CONTROL+S is quite handy if some program trampled over the stack area or if you later power up/enable another drive. So far no one reported compatibility issues with hotkey support enabled. * hotkeys: The keyboard IRQ routine of the OS is patched and you can control the SIO patch using various keystrokes: SHIFT+CONTROL+S Clear SIO speed table and enable highspeed SIO SHIFT+CONTROL+N Disable highspeed SIO (normal speed) SHIFT+CONTROL+H Enable highspeed SIO SHIFT+CONTROL+DEL Coldstart Atari so long, Hias 3
