Improved keyboard

When plugging in your search string in the plus store the keyboard is still very awkward. Any chance we could use the 32 character kernel to make a qwerty keyboard? ULaunch keyboard on my ps2 comes to mind.

Agreed.

And to reduce keyboard navigation, some "keys" could be used twice using long fire button presses (e.g. uppercase/lowercase letters).

I have suggested a keyboard like this which could be implemented using the existing menu function.

Essentially the grid display like you suggest, and first you select a ROW using the standard menu.

Then it brings up a 2nd menu with the letters in that row, one per line - and again you use the standard menu code to select one.
