+Andrew Davie
The selected colours for various menu types in PAL-land are somewhat washed out and hard to read. Review all colours/types.

I see you're sticking with the SMALL CAPS font. Is that your favourite? As to the colours - do you have any observations/comments?
marauder666
Looks great on my PVM. S-video modded 7800, into RGB transcoder. A bit muted in the pic, more vibrant in person. "Setup" is fine, camera caught the interlacing. Easy to differentiate the text colours.

Yes, „Small Caps“ font is (still) my favorite - others look similar except the „Captain‘s“ font which is too wide/not enough space between single characters. Colours look in real (hard to capture with my iPhone) a bit lighter and overall too washed out. The highlighted line colour is not a perfect choice - should be another colour and the light red colour (last picture) is far too light for my taste. The fonts are, however, all exactly the same width/spacing -- that is, 3 pixels wide + 1 pixel space. I agree on the washed out colours -- this is partly because every colour you see onscreen is 50% mid-blue (the background colour). I'll be trying to improve the PAL colours for the next release.

Will do a screenshot for every font with same characters onscreen to show how it looks like on my TV with normal antenna connection (to show what i mean - especially regarding Captain‘s font.

+Andrew Davie
I don't understand where that commit has gone....???? My local history shows it, and I do a diff on it with its parent, and I see all my changes. Should I re-grab the dev branch, and re-do the changes? +Andrew Davie
I *think* somehow I'm on the master branch, when in fact I wanted the DEV branch. But I copied the clone URL from the gitlab page, with the DEV branch selected. I guess it doesn't work like that...?

AFAIK... the comment on the file seems OK. I'm too tired to get up and check the build though. Here's what I think happened... I did an add/commit/push, but through the STM IDE.... and it *silently* failed... because there were remote changes, so first I should have done a pull/merge. But because it silently failed, the git log showed I'd done the commit... but it wasn't pushed (and that was not shown). So when I did the test, I first did a pull, and then I did an add/commit/push And that seems to have incorporated my earlier changes. So it my be OK.
