Athanor 2: New adventure game on ST/STe

I cannot seem to get this game to load. Either from Hard Disk, nor from floppy.
I get to select my language, it states "Loading Athanor 2", then music comes on but nothing on the screen.
I'm using an STe, with Adspeed (though I've tried with that disabled as well), 4MB Ram. When I try to load from HD, I'm using Putnik's driver and an UltraSatan.  
It will run from my HXC floppy emulator as .hfe files imaged from the original disks.

Any ideas? I'm on holiday's this week and was hoping to get into this game.

I'm on vacation after tomorrow.  Maybe we can compare notes since one of my goals is to do that one myself.  (Though, I'll be using a Falcon).

Hi everyone,

I've been enjoying this game so much and I hope it's ok if I request here for another hint because I got stuck and I don't find a solution anywhere (only for the CPC version) ?
It's about the sentence "pray to my god at the north-west of the cliff": I have already understood what needs to be done first and that I need to go to "east, south, south, west and north" from the starting point (west of the ship-wreck) and so I am at the right place to "pray".
But how I am supposed to do that with the point&click controls? In the CPC version it's simply done by typing it in ?
Any help is much appreciated, thank you in advance!

IIRC, I couldn't ever get this game to run on my AdSpeed equipped Mega ST4. It does run fine

on my Mega STe though...

I was able to get it to run with the Adspeed on my STE.  What I had to do was soft load emuTOS and then it ran fine.  I'm not sure where that suggests the error is, but it does work if you load Emutos first.  On my STE I normally run 2.06.

Did you read the ancient poem carved on the cliff?

You have to read this poem, make the journey from west of the ship-wreck and so, the west direction shoud be appears ! (and thus reveal to you a new place)

I even cross-checked with the solution at https://cpcrulez.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?&f=10&t=6301 which is for CPC:

"Ouest – Songes - Maké – Maké – Hélios – Shaman
Ouest – Est – Sud – Sud – Ouest – Nord"

So as I understand the starting point is the location with the ship-wreck. Then I am going to WEST, and afterwards: EAST, SOUTH, SOUTH, WEST, NORTH.
I arrive at the location here (it's a picture from the CPC solution which doesn't matter):

Now you are telling that the "the west direction shoud be appears ! (and thus reveal to you a new place)".
But the navigation arrows don't let me go to the west. What is missing in my situation?
