I played it yesterday. It is really nice. The controls are a bit ... what is the word... 'Laggy'? Just like Escape from Epsilon. Both very nice games in BASIC, but the controls are slightly frustrating. Very nice though. I still love them. I had them on Tape back in the day. Loading with CLOAD.
The V-Man
Of course I'm bias on this one, my young self was proud to get this game out on to Compute magazine back in March 1985. https://archive.org/details/1985-03-compute-magazine/page/n43/mode/1up Here is a link to the ATR file I posted a while back for those who do not wish to type it in.

ggn
The first thing that comes to mind is Bounder from Atari User vol 3 no 2 (http://www.atarimania.com/mags/pdf/Atari-User-Vol-3-No-02.pdf). Partly because I liked the game a lot, partly because it was the first big type-in I wrote (and my first Atari magazine ever), and partly because the listing had bugs which we had to fix. 777ismyname
I was just playing about with Risky Rescue, which I always dug. For kicks and giggles I ran it through ABC Compiler and the results are kind of comical - as in unplayable. I've thought a good bit about porting it to Fast Basic and TBXL. My favorite ANALOG magazine game was the QIX clone.
scitari
I didn't see Goldrush! from Compute! mentioned. My first and one of my favorites. Play Gold Rush! from Compute! Magazine on an Atari 8-Bit Computer (10-15 mins) – Atari Projects
+davidcalgary29
I spent far too much time in the 8th grade playing "Dinoventure", from 1985. And wow -- no votes for "BASIC Burger"? I probably put in more hours on that one than most of the commercial games I owned as a teen! It took me ages to type in "Risky Rescue" because of all those ATASCII special characters -- this was one of my least favourite type-in experiences. "Advent X" was lots of fun -- I think that this was the first text adventure that I completed.
