Platformer. russian page - http://romhacking.ru/forum/14-602-1 Demo ROM for 32x - http://romhacking.ru/temp/Satan.zip Edited July 27, 2021 by SegaTim
+jgkspsx
It is awesome that people are starting to develop for the 32X. I would love to see a 32X CD game that is not an FMV game and uses all of those extra processors. Probably a mind-bending programming project…
+atari2600land
I wish I had a 32X CD. I just have a 32X. I would buy a copy of this game if it was released on cartridge.

SlidellMan
Just how did you manage to compile or assemble a functioning 32X Rom?

SegaTim
I got sick, so development stopped. Here are screenshots of the first level:
Chilly Willy
Looks nice. Hope you get to feeling better soon.
+atari2600land
Looks great. I just have to wonder though, about the bright green background. Does it have to be that way? Can you not have something else, like what is behind the igloo. Get well soon.
SegaTim
The green background is a temporary solution. This is transparent and the color of the border (will be black). This is the process of drawing layers, testing. See second screenshot. Thanks!

+atari2600land
I want to buy this when it's done. I am not sure if this is the first 32x homebrew, but the 32x always could need more games!
+Gemintronic
@SegaTim I read a translastion of your topic on romhacking. Are you still having problems with the Sega 32x version? What was the problem? Also, what sound driver are you using? I've used an early version of the z80 XGM driver in my games but it isn't very compatible

I've used an early version of the z80 XGM driver in my games but it isn't very compatible The problem is that the subroutine is called with the instruction bsr asm - and such bsr only performs a 16 bits jump, meaning that it only can jump roughly 32K back or forward. If the code where you call the subroutine with parameters (which originates a bsr) is more than 32K ahead of where align heap is located, bsr cannot reach it so the assembler fails. XGM sound driver.
