jstrotha0975
I guess the Vectrex is already a console, but what I mean is a Vectrex that's just the motherboard and you plug it into a TV like the NES or 2600, etc... I got the idea by spotting the Scopetrex on the Brewing Academy website. Can this be done? Can a Scopetrex be hooked up to a modern TV? Vectrexer
If you want a dubious consolized vectrex you will be relegate to an emulation platform that will lose some of the experience enjoyment of the original Vectrex. No commercial TV can handle the vector graphics display properties of a Vectrex motherboard. Or a Vectrex alternate platform such as ScopeTrex. That said, MiSTer FPGA does offer a route to what you might want. However, lose of the CRT once again degrades the Vectrex experience. https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?t=710

+jgkspsx
The Vectrex is irreducible, like Popeye. I yam what I yam and dat’s all dat I yam, I’m Vectrex, a tube in a can.

You could use a Mister on a CRT with an HDMI to composite converter though.
Flojomojo
I didn't hate the Vectrex emulator on iPad. It's still available on gameclub.io (subscription) and the high res iPad display is about the same size as the original Vec monitor. It doesn't have the same visual intensity but it's better than a CRT in my opinion.
