TGB1718
Is it just me or is there a better way to search or search/replace ? I love the environment, but this is one area I can't get to grips with. If I select Search and fill in the "containing text: box the scope generally only offers Workspace and Working Set when all I want to search is the file I'm editing. The Selected resources is greyed out and that's what I think I need. It's even worse with the Replace function as it want's to replace everywhere again not just the file I'm editing Got to be the worst implementation of Search/Replace I've ever used. I've got to the point of cut/paste into Notepad++, do what I need and then cut/paste back. *********** Update, managed to "un-grey the Search/Replace in the "Edit" dropdown, before it was all greyed out for some reason ********* Still would like to know how to do this please:- Also can you turn off Auto-complete, that's becoming a pain too. rra
If you use CTRL-F (instead of selecting Search from the UI) you will get a much simpler search dialog that is confined to the current file that you are editing.
