Good article.

 

I was thrown for a loop when the article listed 133 games were released.  After looking around, it turns out that Wikipedia lists 133 because they include the Keyboard Component tapes and its BASIC cartridge.

Hmm.  While I agree that most of their choices are good games, I wouldn't agree that these are the top ten.

Yeah I disagree with about 70% of the list.  But it’s just an opinion piece.

Pretty solid list, don't hate anything on there. Having just done one for the Intellivisionaries podcast I can attest to how hard it is to whittle down the last 20 or so to 10 and then how to order them. Lots of good  games for the system.'

So perhaps what we need is a list of the top ten lists of best Intellivision games.  I put your list at #6.  ?

I disagree with the list.  His choices lean towards arcade style, and known titles. Should've dove in deeper for the more complex games and Intellivision only titles.  Although I do agree AD&D is #1, the rest I question. 

 

Not a single Intellivoice game mentioned and those were groundbreaking titles back then.  

 

I would think Microsurgeon would have beaten out a majority of these titles.

I am glad Demon Attack made the list. 

 

I grew up playing the Atari 2600 version and was blown away when i first played the intv variant

That list is so wrong for several reasons,one being Why the hell is Lock n Chase on it,and another that not even one sports game is in that top ten.

No Skiing,Golf or Baseball? C'mon now!

AD&D and Tron Deadly discs definitely belong and I know enough people have lobbied for Burgertime and Night stalker over the years I cant dispute those choices either,though neither of those two would be in my top ten.

Dreadnaught factor and Beamrider are certain top ten omissions from that list I would love to include in the top 10.

So far I named seven out of my top ten here!?

I agree with Wolfy.... Lock N Chase on Inty is a completely DREADFUL game.... Somehow someway last year I got 48k on one miracle game. This past weekend I tried playing it and couldn't even get to 10k. The controls on the game are WOEFULLY bad. It cries for a joystick... Same with Beauty N the Beast, terrible controls and the rash of deaths that you get make the game completely unplayable. This game doesn't even belong in the Top 25 lol.... BurgerTime while a 'fun' game is NOT top 2 in my opinion. I actually prefer Diner to it. 

 

The rest of the games on the list are cool. Bump N Jump would have been better without the 50k bonus as it completely takes away what the game is about, bumping, smashing and jumping.... 

 

Love Demon Attack but it's VERY glitchy....

 

My top 10 would include Space Armada (ofcourse) and Dreadnaught Factor. Utopia probably would make my Top 15. ?

 

Two other faves of mine are Microsurgeon and Bomb Squad..... Both would make Top 10 for me......

The lists focuses on the original 125. Lost caves of kroz isn’t one of them.

B-17 Bomber is an Intellivoice game and is included on the list.

 

I find it amusing that the generally accepted 'worst' game on the platform, Donkey Kong, was included, but they link to a screen shot from DK Arcade.
