I think the author pushed a little too hard with the PS2 It was also one of the first devices to be “backward compatible,”.

Yes he did state "one of the first", but isn't the first the Atari 7800?

I think even the GameBoy Color was before the PS2.

The backwards compatible Sega Mark III was released in 1985.

The Videopac G7400 released in Europe in 83 could play all G7000 games.  Which reminds me, I still don't own an Odyssey 2.  Need to do something about that soon.

He’s not wrong.  The INTV 2 can play most original games and with the small GRAM mod is ready for next generation games of tomorrow and beyond!!!!!!!!
