That led me to revisit their 2020 press release about the ACL license. The opening sentence is worded a bit vague, but it suggests they were developing it with consulting from some of the world's greatest ACL players and/or that you could play as or against some of those players (just like that Steam game). Rewatching the playthrough and even the opponent names shown seem made-up or otherwise unrelated to any cornhole players: Sabrina Spada, Klaus Graf, Niceto Pina, Rihab Bishara, Lauren Ayers, Dean Ray, Gael Carvallo, Lucas Gomes Velho, James Morris, Rokuro Saitou... And these names appear to be the only competitors you can play (one per country), they never changed since the original 2019-20 gameplay.

Big takeaways from Amico Forever. RAB, Panda, and DJC believe it should be in bars. It is really hard to break the ice and talk to people in a bar. RAB said that yeah people have phones, which aren't good for ice breakers, yet in same breath says that Amico Home (phone app) would be good for icebreakers. Amico trivia games would be great for bars (ignoring that there are no games like that on Amico). 

 

It came across as a bunch of old out of touch men who long to go to the bars who struggle to either pick up dates, or talk to any stranger. They focused so much on bars. If anyone lives near these guys you would be doing them a service by messaging them some recommendations on places to volunteer, social groups, recreational sport leagues, and other similar things to get them outside the bar and interacting with people.

 

It is a sad viewing and I didn't see the whole Amico Forever either.

It was really sad to hear them continually go back to the bars for Amico Home.

 

They mentioned daycare at one point. I don't think the guys have much understanding of how the world works.

 

Like man, trivia is huge at bars, so Amico Home could do great! Dude you just said that bars have something in place, and you think them changing that for a platform that has no trivia games is a good idea?

 

Me thinks some people took the Amico console name a little too literal.

I was at the bar last night, having a great time, just relaxing with the bros, and all of a sudden, in waddles this guy, mid-40s, probably 320lb, wearing a DBZ shirt and with scraggly facial hair. Guy immediately walks up to the chick at the corner of the bar.

 

One of my friends taps my shoulder and points. We laugh a little bit, waiting to see what happens.

 

The girl, to her credit, doesn't immediately walk away or freak out.

 

He starts rummaging in his pocket. We get a little worried. Almost looks like he's a creeper, jerking the gherkin through his cargo shorts. He starts mumbling something about trivia questions and how he heard girls and moms really like video games these days.

 

Dude pulls out his cell phone, mumbles about her being his "Amigo" or something, and tries to show her something on the screen.

 

She politely declines and walks away. He yells something about how "at least it wasn't the Switch" and something weird about porn I didn't understand.

 

Dude waddles back out, dejected. We laugh and order another round of brews.

In that group i believe its around 25 total. I was one. 
 

Now remember early on, no one except the people making it knew it was a scam.  We were just excited to have a new Intellivision console.  
 

So I dont feel bad for wanting it or even “on the bandwagon” so to speak. After the second delay the true intentions really became evident. 
 

Hardly anyone in this group even gives a crap if Amico EVER comes out, and several people in this pic STILL have not received a refund. 
 

Side note. No one in this picture is, or ever was, one of these Amico Youtube shill troll TT fanatics.
