On the Atari XE, as well as their other 8-bit systems, the ANTIC chip has a sensing pin for that function that works off of the trigger inputs and knows where the electron beam of a CRT is at the moment the trigger pulse is received. Normally there is a photocell and lens in the gun that conveys this information to the ANTIC chip. EDIT: The Atari 2600 also had a way to sense a light gun I believe, so perhaps when using the Module#1 adapter it would work. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
