I can't see the video

1. Click on the 3 little dots at the lower-right corner (of the video)

2. Select "Download"

3. Open it in VLC Media player (free, open source, well-known)

no three little dots...

OK... because I couldn't see the video either, but I do get the option to download it using the little three dots control.

I can also right click on the video and download the file from the standard browser pop-up menu; maybe you can do it that way. [In the future, if necessary, since the OP already posted a youtube version for this one.]

Don't worry about it, it's all good.

There was a time the forums themselves wouldn't allow certain formats to play that a revision or two before would work without issues. Today's browsers and forums are constantly changing. Rumble or U Tube are just fine for now :) who knows what will be tomorrow.

I really like what I am seeing and am glad it's going well.

I'd say black and white.

However remember anything on a stock PAL Atari running on composite b&w will show artefacted colours in hi res.

Case in point:

Whereas on svideo or modern outputs such as Sophia 2 you get plain b&w :

Not sure with regards to NTSC.

Was thiking on this some days ago but then forgot to post... my idea is to people can choose. On an early/mode screen select moving joystick instantly change colour then fire to start.

@RafalDudek

we are  at the top of catacombs

now we have gone a level deeper into catacombs

NEPTUN MODE.png

starting to get pretty far down into the catacombs now!

I'd say we're near the bottom now!

You can have a little fun with the color registers at very little cost. You could also let people choose color and luminance in options menu.

but if it's only one choice, Black and white of course, because it rocks and any LCA or SuperVideo cable is a winner to avoid the artifacts people mention... the other thing a person can do even if they have crap cable or monitor is to simply turn color saturation all the way down and it will look pretty good that way too!

I agree with The Doctor as well. Great idea.

In addition to being able to have a menu preference as José suggested, using colour in different parts of the game is very effective.

Blinky's scary school does,  although more randomly.

Final Assault as well to zone the rooms you enter which is pretty vital given without it the game would be much harder to navigate.

The color combinations quoted here are not possible. Antic F has 1.5 colors (1 hue, 2 luminances) available; a separate border color can be chosen, though. Of those, the lower 4 quoted look more like what's possible, except instead of black for the background, you could have the foreground color at the lowest possible luminance; so, generally, the look you're showing in those is close to what's possible. The first screen quoted, however, with white foreground on dark green background is impossible. Cannot be done (unless VBXE is employed).
