Congratulations! I'm glad you had a good time.

A really awesome time.

THANKS to the whole TEAM!!!

That's a new quality of adventure games on the A8. Good storyboard, absolute fantastic graphics, good and scene fitting music .. and a perfect n fast game engine.

We need more!!!

Any chance to run this in Atari800? Colleen (Android-Version of Atari800) says "cannot boot cartridge".

I assume it is the same problem I had with Atari800MacX. I had to take the bin file and change the cartridge header to the older header format in order for me to run the game in Atari800MacX. More importantly, I need to change the header so it would run on my Ultimate Cart.

It should not matter. Anyway, here is the appropriate .car file.

onEscape (7.12. 2022).car 1 MB · 49 downloads

Could not get either the .bin file or the .car file running on real hardware (PAL 800XL, with sofia2, pokeymax and u1mb - set to 64KB, AVG cart). Screen stays black.

In Altirra 4.01 the bin file is running fine (maxflash mapper). car file gives an error: "The selected cartridge cannot be loaded as it uses unsupported mapper mode 75."

and here's a short gameplay:

Bwaaaahahahahah, I like the restless button-click-sound... because I had the same frustrating moments while playing the game sometimes. THATS one point, what make adventures this interesting. But if the engine sucks, you can't solve the problems with good gfx or sound. Here all the parts are working together very well. Only the storybook needs some petty, bean counter extension. /bc "just can't get enough" :D
So I was forced (by the game itself) to play the game to the whole END!!

Played on real Hardware, U1MB, SOPHIA2, AVGCART, VBXE, all in my Atari 600 XL.

No technical Problems.

you either need car file with type 42 or to upgrade avgcart to 0028 which supports type 75 and lets you choose type for rom/bin (default used to be xegs 1MB for those files)

The authors worked months if not years on that game and you solved it in one or two days ?!?

Wahaaa, that's not fair! You should have taken at least a week or so to solve it...   ;-);-);-)

On the other hand, congratulations for solving it!  👍

I did not have the time yet to copy it onto my AVG cart or to flash it onto my Atarimax 8Mbit cart...

Great game so far, everything is very well done!  Currently stuck at the obscure puzzle blocking the tunnel.

This was where I got stuck, and had to reach out for some help.

What an awesome game, and as far as I know it's the first true point and click adventure for the Atari 8-bit.

I also just managed to finish this fantastic game.

It took me about 2-3 hours of pure fun.

Great title - highly recommended to everyone.

Graphically and musically a masterpiece.

The story is also great - nothing to complain about.

thank you to all the authors :D

High praise and totally deserving - and from the creator of the equally excellent Flob. :D

I hope we see more games of the quality of Onescape, Flob and also Globe's excellent Final Assault  - all with excellent gameplay, production values and quality. Games like these really showcase the A8.
