Trebor
A little sloppy on my part in places, though definitely the most challenging of titles yet off the bat, from your awesome line-up. This snowman's name is Richard: Definitely, Richard, because he pulls a Richard move, pegging our hero in the back. Anyhow, I like the smaller size more layers/platforms per screen approach, there's more going on here. Excellent work as always! 3 1
vhzc
Wow, that was fast. Thank you very much for the testing and feedback. Did you use actual hardware? Is the "collect the codes" mechanic easy to understand? 2 hours ago, Trebor said: Anyhow, I like the smaller size more layers/platforms per screen approach, there's more going on here. Yeah, I want to have more stuff to do for every screen. 2 hours ago, Trebor said: Definitely, Richard, because he pulls a Richard move, pegging our hero in the back. I can call him Richard, sure. But really I have no idea which Richard are you referencing here 😛

My pleasure - the timing was just right for me to try it out. 21 hours ago, vhzc said: Did you use actual hardware? The prior capture was via A7800. This is washed-out, quick and dirty, via Concerto: A bit more careless, but wanted to give the original console hw a quick test run too. 21 hours ago, vhzc said: Is the "collect the codes" mechanic easy to understand? I believe so. As soon as I saw the two characters were not being used immediately, I wrote them down. Then, I just followed suit with the remaining ones. When the data was obviously needed, how to apply the information seemed logical to me. 21 hours ago, vhzc said: I can call him Richard, sure. That's the kind of move the snowman pulls: The gameplay is spot on respecting jump mechanics and hit detection; though that's par for the course.

I want to share the first demo rom of my new project: Game of The Bear: Polar Opposites. It's the third game in the Game of The Bear series and the first of them for the 7800 (the previous ones were for 2600) It's a screen-by-screen platformer with some puzzle/metroidcania elements. Since I still don't have a Dragon Fly or similar I only have tested it on a7800 emulator. would be greatly appreciated. GOTB_PO_DEMO01.a78 <--CURRENT ROM 144.13 kB · 43 downloads See, this was what I was going for with It's Conner time. sigh.......... Anyway, WOW. Simple graphics. but it works!!!! That's what it needs to do. Don't go down the ICT1 route though (I tried to cram way too much into that game. )

Jaden (JRH)
You have a super charming art style for your games, and this one is no exception. Kinda reminds me of black box era NES games (maybe a little Ice Climber and Gyromite?). The game is pretty fun so far! I like the puzzle solving mixed with action sequences. Keep up the good work! 2

Trebor
Pretty confident I may be able to do it with ~1200 left, but this is my best so far: 2

And yes ~1200 is quite possible. I even think I could get a score in the 1300 range depending on the RNG for the combo door and how quickly I can take out the mid boss. This was my score at the end of a playthrough of the level tonight that I recorded... 2
