First Spear
Hey all. What is the IP ownership arrangement between BSR Inc and Intellivision Entertainment, concerning the classic blocky games (eg the original 125)? Looking to submit an entry with integrity for the Intellivision FAQ. Thanks.
mr_me
They're the property of IE. Haven't heard anything about it since this statement. Of course some of the original 125 cartridges copyrights belong to others e.g. Activision, Imagic, Atari, Coleco, Parker Bros cartridges. EdgeOfPortal
Do we know the status of the rights for Aquarius software? I assume it also is owned by Intellivision Entertainment? Or is it all owned by whatever corporation absorbed Radofin? Edited February 17, 2023 by EdgeOfPortal
mr_me
The Aquarius software developed at Mattel Electronics went to Radofin back in 1983.

Well... nothing like being linked back to your own forum post to answer a question you're asking lol. That's embarrassing, I guess I did know at some point... Still, Radofin/Fobel were dissolved iirc... so I wonder who bought up their remains. That IP would've gotten transferred to an unknown company.
