Hello, I am waiting for my TI computer to be repaired after years of being out,

I am mostly looking to play games on it

I have a Flashrom99,

if I understand correctly the Flashrom99, can only list all the files ,cant make subdirectories ?

a CF7+ can only be useful too then, right? the CF7+ can load disk images, can it also load tape files?

what is the best database online that list most of the games?

and where to get the files?

thanks

flashrom is limited to one folder of 127 files

flashrom is limited to 32k file size and less

flashrom is limited to rom images groms will not work

cf7 is disk only, and parallel port and 32k.   no tape

there is no database but ti gameshelf is nice.. check the faq for more answers and links to file areas etc it's in the pinned post at the top of this forum

I'm a little late, but welcome back to the addiction. Also, take a look at getting a tipi. It's a great tool for disk management/emulation. It's sort of like a cf7+ but with extra tools to connect to another computer in your network and manage files. It also supports sector booting so you can enjoy plato interpreter and the like. If you can find a SAMS memory sidecar, take a look at realms of antiquity. It's an amazing game that takes advantage of it.

The best is the real iron (I am using a full system with PEB), but what you need is a FinalGROM (games are on the SD-card) and 32K expansion and joysticks, then it is easy and fast to add games to your real TI-99/4A

If you like emulator, go for Batocera (based on MAME and same speed performance like a TI-99/4A), I use it on an USB (boot from USB on any PC) and connect to a large TV screen

I put the 300+ games package together (on ftp.whtech.com)  install in  \share\ti99\roms   (and \ti99\bios), it includes image preview and video previews.
