LTO Flash and Intellivoice?

Recommended Posts

So I was just trying to get my LTO Flash and fit it into my Intellivoice. It wasn't going easy so I did not push the issue... Is this a NO-NO? 🤷‍♂️

I seem to remember having this issue a while ago. I just recently got this working (LTO Flash) so I'm not gonna risk wrecking it, but not sure why the fit is sooooooo snug if it's SUPPOSED to fit.... 🙄

LOL, lately LOTS of roms... I'm not gonna push it, literally..... :P

LTO are best on a "low cart" diet - they last forever that way.

It's all the rage these days.

I believe part of the original question is,and I am curious also,is if you run the games on your LTO fFash through the Intellivoice, do you risk wiping out the games or memory on the LTO Flash?

Or, in other words, is it safe to do so?

Perhaps apply a thin layer of elbow grease?

Dont ever use Grease on your ports! It is much too thick and will gum up the contacts. If you have to, KY jelly is a thinner alternative. But make sure to use cinnimon flavor. Its the best!

It might be the case that some devices are more narrow than others. Coming from a VIC-20 background, I know that some cartridges on some computers can be very difficult to insert, and you don't want to risk damage to either. The same cartridge in another machine might work much easier. Generally we have a difference between original and cost reduced model of the machine, though I don't know if there is a such thing as a cost reduced IntelliVoice, perhaps a later batch.

Is it the plastic shell hitting some interference or is it the PCB edge connector that's not fitting in the edge connector slot?  The Ltoflash is designed to be compatible with Intellivoice and the ECS Computer Adapter.

Not exactly sure, it just definitely doesn't fit.... The plastic outer shell goes in, it seems to be the inside of the Flash cart, the chip part if you will. It doesn't wanna go. If I cram it,  it's breaking......

Dumb question, but ill ask anyway..

If you put a regular game cart in the Intellivoice, does it go in without issue?
